Brown is to offer employers a £1000 incentive to help unemployed teens , is he really that stupid ?
Doesn’t he realise that employers take on the teen get the money then fire them and employ another ?
This virtually guarantees young people will not be employed for long and after 5 different jobs in as many months most will just give up ,and who can blame them . Agencies work on exactly the same principal and as a result they actually increase the likelihood of unemployment in young people .
What do you think ?
If you read the small print it is paid after the young person has been in work for a set amount of time.
Do you have an alternative to stop yet another generation being wasted due to unemployment which is what will happen if we do nothing.
My niece is nearly 18 sends off more than 40 applications a week but cannot get an interview. This will enable her to a job where she can work hard, gain experience and prove herself.
