How difficult is it to get an executive assistant job in Orlando?
I would be relocating from New York City and although I don’t expect to make the salary I do here, I wondered if it was somewhat compettive. Especially if I were to remain in the finance industry. Also are there coorporate jobs in demand down there? The company I work for now has no avaialble openings through a transfer. Just wondered what the jpb climate is down there.
Most of Orlando is made of the service and retail industry. In 2006 these two industries made up over 70% of the job market.
Corporate/finance jobs are somewhere around 6% of all jobs, but if you have good experience I do not see a problem finding a job down there. I would start your search before you leave New York if possible: a few of the big emploers in Orlando are Walt Disney Co. (53K employees), Central Florida Investments (7.5K employees), and Lockheed Martin (7.3K employees).
