What do you think the Job market/Employment will be like in 2011?

Tuesday, July 6th, 2010

What is your opion on the future of the US employment?

My opinion is that it will be just about the same as this year, maybe even a little bit worse. We’re stagnating. I think unemployment will still be around 10% to 11% next year.

Should I lie on my job application about my employment history?

Sunday, June 27th, 2010

That is really the only thing keeping me from landing a job. I have zero criminal and drug background and zero traffic violation. Doesn’t that alone should prove my competence? I only had one job in ten months. I quit because of constant coworkers harassment. I shouldn’t have quit but I don’t like to go back and beg for my job either. Now I have been a bum for four months now all because of what? Unsatisfactory employment record?

look at it an omission instead of a lie. most employers prefer no history to bad history.
to overcome no employment history a resume helps, along with letters of recommendation from teachers (if your still in school) and perseverance. GL

Do you think job employment will increase and immigration will be easy if US improves it’s economy?

Wednesday, June 23rd, 2010

If US continuously improves it’s economy,do you think it is possible for southeast asian to migrate and work there?

Well its a really good question, but I guess looking at current situation, immigration wont increase substantially since USA is fighting to keep their economy stable. If you are referring to east India as southeast asians then you will see that India/china economy is getting better and better and now they may try to stop brain outsourcing by giving good opportunities in their own country.
Also USA/ Canada have made their visa process really strict so I answer to your question is probably no, immigration is not going to increase.

when managers check job employment applications, do they check what time the applications were submitted?

Monday, June 14th, 2010

i wanted to apply for more applications and in mississippi [USA], its 10:46 pm, and i dont want time to interfere with me getting a job or not.. So do they check the time the applications were submitted??

So do they check the time the applications were submitted??
probably NOT

generally applying for jobs on-line is a WASTE of time unless:
the employer specifically instructs you to apply at their corporate web-site, or
you are applying for management position, or
you are applying for a corporate job…………

Should I leave out my employment history in a job application?

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

I submitted so many applications, but it seems I can’t get accepted into a job. I have a feeling my job history is to blame and the only way of getting a job is to leave out my work history which I had when I was underage.

The government erases your criminal record when you reach 18, so why not jobs?

So should I leave out my employment history on my future applications? It’s the only way to get accepted into a job.

It is to blame, companys dont care about your work history and frown upon it, unless its a professonal job. If your going into retail or fast food then leave all your history out because the people in charge of hiring at places like this do not want to pay someone more then they have to.

Is it bad to leave employment empty in a job application?

Friday, March 12th, 2010

I’m filling out a job application, and I have no previous work experience. If I leave employment empty, will they not consider hiring me?
no links or websites, please.

list volunteer experience or internships you’ve done. if you’re 16 years old and just haven’t done anything, then you’ll have to leave it blank.
