Oddly enough, this was the best advice you could give to the general populace. Wether they are new to the work force or not, all of what you said was crucial for gaining employment. I really liked the fact that you said things that needed to be done rather than giving a very ambiguous discusion like what we often hear from talk show hosts and news anchors.

    Finding a job is …
Finding a job is harder that people think. When applying for retail, it is very difficult for us guys. Stores would rather hire the cute girl. Girls working in a game store? I have to admit it does help the business, but it hurts us gentlemen.

Theres also the other situations. Im sure everybody has heard this quote. “Were not hiring right now, but you can still fill out an application.”

Another downside is the positions available. 90% of stores are looking for managers.

ImNoRocketSurgeon- I know what you mean; I haven’t had a paid job for a long time now, though ive tried to keep busy in other ways. Ive noticed that some employers only provide a bare minimum of information when advertising a job- (probably because they only want to spend a certain amount)- some employees don’t even specify what the job is. I find that frustrating.
Anyway thanks for your message and best of luck for you too! best regards

ImNoRocketSurgeon- Absolutely; also the problem im finding is a lot of jobs require driving/special qualifications- its like a cycle.

UGH! I agree. I hate digital applications. I think written applications are better because they can see you and it gives you a better chance.

    great video, also …
great video, also in the interview try to be confident and turn off your cellphone. what I heard, sometimes its good to lie on the application for work expierence or if you gone to college, for that extra mullah.chances are,the employer doesn’t check if you went to high school or college.they may check your most recent employer.p.s. if you got a criminal history, just say you were FRAMED MAN!
;D oh, and dont ask for vaction before being hired.peace

Grimmy15- good luck with that. I spent about two hours on mine, clicked ’submit’ only for a message to appear that it hadn’t registered or something along those lines. Technology has its uses but wer’e relying on it too much. Companies should make written applications optional too- not everyone has easy access to computers or is IT literate. Im a bit of a technophobe.
Anyway thanks 4 your message and good luck………
